Travel Stories and Photo stories will be chosen by a panel of editors, appointed by Escape stories
magazine (Powerd by Beyond weekend beyond boundary, Weekend tours from Kolkata and Izifiso
tours private limited), whose decision will be considered final. If the entries do not meet the magazine
standards, the panel reserve the right to refrain from accepting the article. Originality, ethics, technical
(photograph/write-up) quality, subject matter, aesthetics, rarity, mood and action will be among the
values placed at a premium by the panel.
The entrant must be the sole author and owner of the copyright for all photographs and write-up
submitted. By submitting the contents, the author certifies that the entries do not infringe on the
copyright, trademark or intellectual property rights of any other person or organisation. The author
must be able to provide a no-objection letter from concerned authorities in case required.
3.Limitation of contents:
For each travel story, word limit should be kept between five hundred to two thousand words and
number of images to be submitted should be between six to ten.
For each photo story, word limit should be kept between one hundred to five hundred words and
number of images to be submitted should be between eight to ten.
4.Article (Story) Submission:
Submit your Article in word and photographs in JPEG format through our mail
(email@example.com). Clearly mention your name, postal and email address and mobile
number. All image file names should be renamed as "photographer’s name_location_month of the
photo taken’. For example, “Sujoy Sarkar_Digha_September”. Captions for photographs must be added
as a separate Word/RTF file.
5.Size, Compatibility and format (Photographs):
Images for submission should be 1000/240 dpi pixels (along the shortest dimension) to a maximum file
size of 10 MB. Once shortlisted, entries may have to be submitted at 3200 pixels/300 dpi (along the
shortest dimension) or higher as required by the panel. Files must be full-size without borders,
watermarks or signatures.
Articles can only be submitted in english and bengali language. Article may document anywhere in
Indian subcontinent. Authors of any nationality are eligible to submit. There is no restriction on the age
for submission of articles.
