Village camps |

Why flock around in huge numbers to the same vacation spots on shuffle, through the years? Let us at Izifiso give wings to your adventurous desires and take you places you will forever cherish, the history, heritage, cultural and natural splendour of which will make your vacations meaningful. This time, we are taking you to Panchetgarh in Purba Medinipur, West Bengal.

Historically rich and naturally aesthetic, Panchetgarh is an important site as far as the erstwhile Mughal India is concerned. Choudhury Murari Mohan Dasmohapatra, a member of the royal court of Emperor Aurangzeb had formerly settled here and built the Panchetgarh Garh-Haveli, now known as the Panchetgarh Heritage Raj Bari, that has been also recently converted into accommodation for tourists flocking together to explore this place infested with the legacy of the Bengal royalty. Dasmohapatra also led the construction of the famous Pancheswar Shiva Temple over here, from which the place partly derives its name. Tourists can also explore the cultural and religious roots of Bengal in the other temples like Sri Sri Kishorai Jiue Mandir, Jhulan Mandir, Sitala Devi Pancharatna Mandir and get acquainted with the reputed musical legacy of Indian Bhakti music and Kirtan music that have risen from this place that has been inhabited by genius musicians and singers of old. If you’re devoted to history, culture and national legacy and love exploring them deeply from the grassroot level, do not wait and book your stay now!
