Izifiso is not only a company, but a journey that started in March, 2017. Keeping in mind the meaning of the word in original Zulu language, Izifiso had come up with its exciting tagline: “Where desires get wings.”
The most beautiful things in life are perhaps moments accentuated with wilderness and the desires of the heart. Nothing can surpass the beauty of a sunset dipping in the melancholic melody of country music. The beauty of the nature that surrounds us just needs to be explored and harnessed to turn it to a lifetime experience and we at Izifiso give wings to these unharnessed desires of the heart.
Join us in our unexplored discoveries, travel away from home, feel the goose bumps break into the skin in the eerie night, sweat under the scorching sun on an uphill trek, dance in the twilight sands to the waves that crash on the shore, whisper to the mangroves, gape at the constellations and let the mountain winds lull you to sleep. Let all these be a part of your story and your life and let them turn you into a story teller.

“Our trip to Mousuni Island at the end of February, 2017 was amazing! For someone who isn't traveling on a boat so often it was a remarkable experience. We even had a chance to taste some amazing Indian food on our way there! Once we reached the island, we went to explore it a bit more. Amazing shores on one side and fascinating mangrove forests on the other! After this healing-mud-trip we went to a small village to meet local people. We learned about their lifestyle and their growing struggle. Thanks to collaboration between Oikos Kolkata and Izifiso we tried to brainstorm and further elaborate the solution for the problem locals are facing for a couple of months already. Keep up the great work - you are the proof that the change can be achieved if you try hard enough. And I, on behalf of Oikos Prague, am very thankful for that. ”

“We visited this campsite just before monsoon season started, it was beautiful! The water was calm and peaceful, we had managed to take a night tour to the lake to do some stargazing away from the lights of civilization. The campsite was amazing, they offered us simple straw guys with huts, attached bathroom, hot meals three times a day and tea on demand. It was a very relaxing experience after spending few days on the road - we had our much needed rest. Overall it was a great experience, and I will do it again for sure! ”
