This carefully crafted Srinagar–Leh circuit offers the perfect blend of scenic drives, high mountain passes, cultural heritage, and remote Himalayan beauty.
The journey begins in Srinagar, where guests relax by the calm waters of Dal Lake before embarking on one of India’s most scenic highways. Crossing Sonamarg and Zoji La, travelers experience dramatic transitions in landscape as they move from green valleys into rugged mountain terrain.
In Kargil, the route passes through historic sites and memorials before entering the mystical land of Ladakh. The drive to Leh includes ancient monasteries like Lamayuru, high-altitude passes such as Namika La and Fotu La, and natural wonders like Magnetic Hill and the Sangam of the Indus and Zanskar Rivers.
Leh offers a mix of heritage and spirituality with attractions like Shanti Stupa and Leh Palace, while nearby monasteries provide insight into Tibetan Buddhist culture.
The adventure intensifies as the journey continues to Nubra Valley via Khardung La, one of the world’s highest motorable roads. Nubra’s sand dunes and Diskit Monastery offer a striking contrast of desert and mountains. A visit to Turtuk introduces travelers to the unique Balti culture near the Indo-Pak border.
