Chandra Taal, also known as "Moon Lake," is a high-altitude lake located in the Spiti Valley, Himachal Pradesh, at an elevation of 4,300 meters (14,100 feet). The lake is famous for its crescent moon shape and stunning blue waters that change color throughout the day. It is a popular trekking destination, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding snow-capped peaks and rugged terrain. Chandra Taal is considered sacred by locals and is best visited between May and October when the weather is more favorable for trekking.
