Reschedule
Rescheduling is available only for individual stay bookings by paying an additional non-refundable amount, which will be displayed during the booking process. This amount is neither refundable nor transferable to your wallet. Please note that the rescheduling option is not applicable to packages.
For example, if your total billing amount is ₹5,000 and you pay a token amount to activate a rescheduling-friendly booking (which is not included in your total billing amount), the rescheduling will follow these terms: Upon rescheduling, 25% of your billing amount (₹1,250) will be deducted, and the remaining ₹3,750 will be transferred to your Izifiso wallet.
If the booking allows rescheduling, it will be processed as per the specified terms. If the booking is not rescheduling-friendly, the option will not be available.
Reaching Cherrapunji Homestay is a scenic part of the journey, with winding hill roads, misty valleys and sweeping views. From Guwahati Airport (approx. 165 km) - By private taxi: The most comfortable and time-saving option. Pre-book a cab directly to Cherrapunji via Shillong. The drive typically takes 5–6 hours, depending on traffic and weather. - By shared jeep + taxi: From the airport, head to the Guwahati shared taxi stand (usually near Paltan Bazar) by local cab. Take a shared jeep or taxi to Shillong, then transfer to another shared jeep or taxi bound for Sohra/Cherrapunji. Ask to be dropped near Nongrim; from there, a short local taxi ride takes you to the homestay. From Guwahati Railway Station (approx. 143 km) - By bus: Walk or take a rickshaw from the station to the Guwahati bus stands serving Shillong. Board a bus to Shillong, then change to a Cherrapunji/Sohra bus or shared jeep. Get off at Nongrim, and continue by local taxi or on foot, depending on drop point. - By shared jeep: From Paltan Bazar near the station, shared jeeps frequently run to Shillong. From Shillong, switch to a Cherrapunji-bound shared jeep and ask the driver to stop closest to Nongrim. - By private taxi: Pre-arrange a direct taxi from the station to Cherrapunji. This is the easiest route for families and travelers with luggage. From Shillong (approx. 49.5 km) - From Shillong Public Transport Service Bus Depot: Catch a bus or shared jeep heading to Sohra/Cherrapunji. The ride is about 2 hours through beautiful Khasi hills. Inform the conductor or driver that you need to get down near Nongrim. From the drop-off point, take a short taxi ride to the homestay. - By private taxi: Hire a local cab for a direct and flexible trip with photo stops at viewpoints en route. Local Tips - Weather can change quickly in Cherrapunji, especially in the monsoon, so allow extra travel time. - Shared jeeps are cheaper and a great way to experience local life, while private taxis offer comfort and convenience for early-morning or late-evening arrivals. - Confirm the exact location of the homestay with your host before arrival so your driver can navigate straight to the gate.
