Reschedule
Rescheduling is available only for individual stay bookings by paying an additional non-refundable amount, which will be displayed during the booking process. This amount is neither refundable nor transferable to your wallet. Please note that the rescheduling option is not applicable to packages.
For example, if your total billing amount is ₹5,000 and you pay a token amount to activate a rescheduling-friendly booking (which is not included in your total billing amount), the rescheduling will follow these terms: Upon rescheduling, 25% of your billing amount (₹1,250) will be deducted, and the remaining ₹3,750 will be transferred to your Izifiso wallet.
If the booking allows rescheduling, it will be processed as per the specified terms. If the booking is not rescheduling-friendly, the option will not be available.
Reaching Shillong Guest Inn is straightforward from all major transport hubs in the region. From Guwahati Airport (about 122 km) - By private taxi: The most convenient option is to hire a prepaid or private taxi from the airport. The scenic drive to Shillong takes around 3–3.5 hours, passing rolling hills and valleys. Ask the driver to drop you at Laitumkhrah Main Road, near the women’s college area, in Upper Laitumkhrah. - By shared jeep: Outside the airport and more commonly from the city side of Guwahati, you’ll find shared jeeps heading towards Shillong. These are budget-friendly and usually run throughout the day. Once in Shillong, get off at Police Bazar or the main taxi stand and take a local cab to Laitumkhrah Main Road, New Colony, Lyndhurst Estate. - By bus: First travel from Guwahati Airport into the city (Paltan Bazar area) by taxi or airport bus. From there, take a Shillong-bound bus or shared sumo. On arrival in Shillong, hire a local taxi to Upper Laitumkhrah, before the women’s college on Laitumkhrah Main Road. From Guwahati Railway Station (about 98.7 km) - By taxi: Taxis are readily available near Guwahati Railway Station. The ride to Shillong usually takes around 3 hours, depending on traffic. Inform the driver you need to get to Laitumkhrah Main Road in Shillong, near the women’s college locality, New Colony, Lyndhurst Estate. - By shared jeep/sumo: Walk or take a short rickshaw ride to the shared jeep stands near Paltan Bazar. Shared jeeps and sumos frequently depart for Shillong. Once you reach Shillong, hop into a local cab and ask for Upper Laitumkhrah, before reaching the women’s college, on the main road. - By bus: State-run and private buses from Guwahati to Shillong depart from the vicinity of Paltan Bazar. On arrival in Shillong, take a taxi or shared cab towards Laitumkhrah and get down at New Colony / Lyndhurst Estate on Laitumkhrah Main Road. From Shillong Public Transport Service Bus Depot (about 3.3 km) - By taxi: From the bus depot, local taxis are easy to find and the ride takes roughly 10–15 minutes. Ask the driver to drop you on Laitumkhrah Main Road, Upper Laitumkhrah, before the women’s college, near New Colony, Lyndhurst Estate. - By shared cab: Shared local taxis ply regularly between central points like Police Bazar and Laitumkhrah. Get into any taxi heading towards Laitumkhrah and ask to be dropped near the women’s college stop. From there, it’s a short walk along the main road to the inn. Local Landmarks & Directions Laitumkhrah is one of Shillong’s most popular neighbourhoods, known for its cafes and easy access to key attractions. When giving directions, mention that you are heading to Upper Laitumkhrah on the main road, just before the women’s college area in New Colony, Lyndhurst Estate. Most local drivers are familiar with this stretch. Transfer Options Summary - Shared jeep/sumo: Best for budget-conscious travellers coming from Guwahati. - Private taxi: Most comfortable and flexible, ideal if you have luggage or arrive late. - Bus: Economical option, followed by a short taxi ride within Shillong.
