Reschedule
Rescheduling is available only for individual stay bookings by paying an additional non-refundable amount, which will be displayed during the booking process. This amount is neither refundable nor transferable to your wallet. Please note that the rescheduling option is not applicable to packages.
For example, if your total billing amount is ₹5,000 and you pay a token amount to activate a rescheduling-friendly booking (which is not included in your total billing amount), the rescheduling will follow these terms: Upon rescheduling, 25% of your billing amount (₹1,250) will be deducted, and the remaining ₹3,750 will be transferred to your Izifiso wallet.
If the booking allows rescheduling, it will be processed as per the specified terms. If the booking is not rescheduling-friendly, the option will not be available.
Reaching Kaza Home Stay is part of the adventure of coming into Spiti Valley. The homestay is located near the Circuit House in Kaza, with direct car access and convenient parking right outside, making arrivals straightforward even after a long journey through the mountains. From Chandigarh Airport (approx. 451 km) - By Private Taxi: The most comfortable and flexible option is to pre-book a private cab from Chandigarh. The usual route is Chandigarh – Shimla – Narkanda – Rampur – Reckong Peo – Pooh – Nako – Tabo – Kaza. Depending on road and weather conditions, the journey typically takes 14–16 hours and is best split over two days with a night halt in Shimla, Narkanda, or Reckong Peo. - By Shared Jeep: During the main season (usually May to October, weather permitting), shared jeeps and traveler vans can sometimes be arranged from Chandigarh to Reckong Peo or directly toward Kaza via local operators. You can then continue by another shared jeep or bus from Reckong Peo to Kaza. - By Bus: First travel from Chandigarh to Shimla or Reckong Peo by HRTC or private buses. From Reckong Peo, state-run buses operate towards Kaza on scheduled days, subject to road conditions. From Kalka Railway Station (approx. 426 km) - By Road via Shimla: From Kalka, you can connect to Shimla by toy train, regular train to Chandigarh, or road (bus/taxi). From Shimla, hire a private taxi or board an HRTC bus towards Reckong Peo and onward to Kaza. - Combined Train + Road: Many travelers prefer taking the scenic Kalka–Shimla toy train, then continuing by shared jeep, private taxi, or bus from Shimla toward Kaza via the Hindustan–Tibet Highway. From Kaza Bus Stand (approx. 650 m away) - On Foot: The homestay is walkable from the bus stand in about 10–15 minutes, depending on your luggage and pace. Ask for directions to the Circuit House area in Kaza. - By Local Taxi: Small local taxis and shared jeeps are usually available near the bus stand. A quick ride will bring you to the property with minimal effort, especially if you’re carrying heavy bags. Getting Around Spiti from the Homestay From Kaza Home Stay, shared jeeps, buses, and private taxis can be arranged for day trips to Key Gompa, Chicham Bridge, Langza, Hikkim, Komic, and other villages. Road conditions and timings change with the season, so it’s wise to check schedules locally and plan an early morning start for excursions. Seasonal & Road Considerations Roads to Kaza are high-altitude and subject to landslides, snow, and weather-related closures, especially in winter and early spring. Always: - Check current road status before travel - Keep buffer days in your itinerary - Carry essentials like warm clothing, snacks, and water When you arrive in Kaza, follow the main road toward the Circuit House area; the homestay’s direct car access and on-site parking make the final approach simple, even for first-time visitors.
