Reschedule
Rescheduling is available only for individual stay bookings by paying an additional non-refundable amount, which will be displayed during the booking process. This amount is neither refundable nor transferable to your wallet. Please note that the rescheduling option is not applicable to packages.
For example, if your total billing amount is ₹5,000 and you pay a token amount to activate a rescheduling-friendly booking (which is not included in your total billing amount), the rescheduling will follow these terms: Upon rescheduling, 25% of your billing amount (₹1,250) will be deducted, and the remaining ₹3,750 will be transferred to your Izifiso wallet.
If the booking allows rescheduling, it will be processed as per the specified terms. If the booking is not rescheduling-friendly, the option will not be available.
Reaching Tawang Guest Inn is part of the adventure of visiting the high Himalayas. The most common approach is via Guwahati in Assam. From Guwahati Railway Station (approx. 419 km) - Step 1: From the station, hire a private taxi or take a pre-booked cab to Tawang via Tezpur–Bhalukpong–Bomdila–Dirang. The drive usually takes 12–14 hours, so many travelers prefer breaking the journey with an overnight halt in Bomdila or Dirang. - Step 2: Budget travelers can opt for shared jeeps or state-run buses from Guwahati to Bomdila or Tawang, which depart early in the morning. Seats fill quickly in peak seasons, so advance booking is advisable. - Step 3: On reaching Tawang town, local taxis and shared cabs are easily available. Ask the driver to drop you near Upper Mandrelling, Gyagong road, close to Gyangong Ani Gompa. From there, the inn is a short walk or a quick local ride away. From Guwahati Airport (approx. 432 km) - Step 1: From the airport, you can book a private taxi directly to Tawang, ideal for families, groups, or those carrying extra luggage. This route also follows the scenic Tezpur–Bhalukpong–Bomdila–Dirang corridor with options to stop for food and photo breaks. - Step 2: Another option is to first travel from the airport to the city (Guwahati Railway Station or ISBT) by cab or airport bus, and then continue onward by shared jeep or bus. By Shared Jeep & Bus - Shared jeeps operate from Guwahati, Tezpur, Bomdila and Dirang towards Tawang, offering a more economical way to reach the region. They tend to start early in the morning and can get crowded, but they are efficient and popular with locals. - State and private buses also connect Guwahati and intermediate hill towns, though services can be limited and weather-dependent. Always check the latest schedule and road conditions, especially in winter. Local Access - Once in Tawang, reaching Upper Mandrelling in Gyagong is straightforward. Local taxis are familiar with Gyangong Ani Gompa, a known landmark near the property. The guest inn’s location makes it convenient to step out for sightseeing while still enjoying a peaceful hillside setting. Travel Tips - Carry valid permits as required for travel in Arunachal Pradesh; these are usually arranged in advance or via tour operators. - Roads are mountainous and can be affected by weather, so keep some buffer time in your itinerary. - Warm clothing is essential year-round due to the altitude, especially for early mornings and evenings.
