Reschedule
Rescheduling is available only for individual stay bookings by paying an additional non-refundable amount, which will be displayed during the booking process. This amount is neither refundable nor transferable to your wallet. Please note that the rescheduling option is not applicable to packages.
For example, if your total billing amount is ₹5,000 and you pay a token amount to activate a rescheduling-friendly booking (which is not included in your total billing amount), the rescheduling will follow these terms: Upon rescheduling, 25% of your billing amount (₹1,250) will be deducted, and the remaining ₹3,750 will be transferred to your Izifiso wallet.
If the booking allows rescheduling, it will be processed as per the specified terms. If the booking is not rescheduling-friendly, the option will not be available.
Reaching Sonada Homestay is straightforward from both the railhead and the airport in North Bengal. From Bagdogra International Airport (approx. 65 km): - By Private Taxi: The most comfortable option, especially if you’re traveling with family or luggage. Taxis are available right outside the terminal; you can pre-book or hire on arrival. The drive usually takes 2.5–3.5 hours, depending on traffic and weather, and follows the scenic hill roads toward Darjeeling and Sonada. - By Shared Jeep: Budget-friendly and popular with local travelers. Shared jeeps to Darjeeling and surrounding hill towns operate from Siliguri, a short taxi ride from the airport. From Siliguri, board a shared jeep toward Sonada or Darjeeling and get off at Sonada Intake / Rongmook Ceder Tea Garden area. - By Bus: State-run and private buses for the hills leave from Siliguri bus stands. Take a bus toward Darjeeling, then get down at Sonada or the nearest stop and take a local taxi to the homestay. From New Jalpaiguri (NJP) Railway Station (approx. 75 km): - By Private Taxi: Taxis and small cars can be hired directly outside the station. The journey takes around 3–4 hours and offers changing views of the plains, forested stretches, and tea gardens as you climb into the hills toward Sonada. - By Shared Jeep: Walk or take an auto-rickshaw to Siliguri stand from NJP. From there, frequent shared jeeps ply the Siliguri–Darjeeling route. Ask the driver to drop you at Sonada Intake or the nearest point for Rongmook Ceder Tea Garden. - By Bus: Catch a bus from Siliguri bus stand toward Darjeeling and disembark at Sonada. From the main road, local taxis or short walks (depending on your exact drop point) connect you to the homestay. Local Tips: - Roads are hilly and winding, so motion sickness tablets may help if you’re prone to it. - In the monsoon and winter, travel times may be slightly longer; planning an early start from NJP or Bagdogra is wise. - If arriving after dark, a pre-booked taxi and prior coordination with the homestay for directions is recommended.
