Reschedule
Rescheduling is available only for individual stay bookings by paying an additional non-refundable amount, which will be displayed during the booking process. This amount is neither refundable nor transferable to your wallet. Please note that the rescheduling option is not applicable to packages.
For example, if your total billing amount is ₹5,000 and you pay a token amount to activate a rescheduling-friendly booking (which is not included in your total billing amount), the rescheduling will follow these terms: Upon rescheduling, 25% of your billing amount (₹1,250) will be deducted, and the remaining ₹3,750 will be transferred to your Izifiso wallet.
If the booking allows rescheduling, it will be processed as per the specified terms. If the booking is not rescheduling-friendly, the option will not be available.
Reaching Jhalong Homestay is a scenic journey through the foothills of the eastern Himalayas. From New Mal Junction (approx. 40.5 km) - By Private Taxi: The most convenient option. Taxis are readily available outside the station. The drive takes around 1.5–2 hours via Damdim – Malbazar – Jhalong, passing through tea gardens and forested stretches. - By Shared Jeep: Shared jeeps frequently operate towards Jhalong/Paren from Malbazar or nearby stands. From New Mal Junction, take a short local auto or taxi ride to Malbazar and board a shared jeep towards Jhalong. Inform the driver you need to get down near the Jaldhaka Hydel Project / Jhalong magazine line. - By Bus: From Malbazar or Chalsa, limited state or private buses head towards Jhalong and adjoining hill routes. Timings can be irregular, so it’s wise to confirm schedules locally on arrival. From Bagdogra International Airport (approx. 111 km) - By Private Taxi: Pre-paid and private taxis are available from the airport. The journey typically takes 3.5–4.5 hours, depending on traffic and road conditions. The common route is Bagdogra – Siliguri – Odlabari – Chalsa – Malbazar – Jhalong. - By Shared Jeep (via Siliguri): Take a taxi or auto to Siliguri’s main jeep stands (such as PC Mittal Bus Stand). From there, shared jeeps towards Malbazar or Chalsa are frequent. From Malbazar, transfer to a shared jeep bound for Jhalong or Paren. Local Directions Once you’re near Jhalong, follow directions towards the Jaldhaka Hydel Project and Jhalong magazine line. The homestay lies within the Paten Godak Khasmahal area under Paten Godak gram panchayat, accessible by motorable road. Parking is available, so self-drive vehicles and hired cabs can be brought right up to the property. Travel Tips - Start early from both New Mal Junction and Bagdogra to enjoy daylight views and easier connections. - Shared jeeps tend to be more frequent in the morning and early afternoon. - During monsoon, check road and weather updates in advance, as hill routes can be affected by heavy rain.
